The Ultimate Outdoor Combo

Porous surfaces are always going to be prone to the growth of moss, mould, lichen and algae no matter what time of the year – but especially in winter! Wet & Forget is able to break down biological growth with its bleach free and biodegradable formula, however if the area is still prone to moisture and other conditions suitable for biological growth, there is every possibility it can begin to return in these areas. That is why the Wet & Forget concentrate goes hand in hand with Wet & Forget Bone Dry: Bone Dry is a unique, water-based sealant for porous surfaces that helps to keep these areas drier – meaning less mould!

So how does Bone Dry work?

Bone Dry is a unique water-based polymer dispersion which is designed to moisture-proof porous surfaces. This in turn, acts as a moss and mould retardant as well as a stain and water repellent. Bone Dry slows biological growth of moss, mould and algae by keeping the porous surface a lot drier. Bone Dry helps prevent staining from food and beverage spills on either paved outdoor living areas or timber decks. Bone Dry promptly seals these porous surfaces and is very difficult to remove once applied.

So how does Wet & Forget work?

The original Wet & Forget concentrate is the ultimate outdoor moss, mould, lichen and algae remover that is safe to use on any exterior surface. It kills problem spores and helps stop premature regrowth of unwarted biological growth. The original Wet & Forget concentrate has a unique combination of biodegradable selective fungicides to target moss, mould, lichen, algae and general biological growth. When diluted with water and applied to a dry surface, it immediately attacks the growth. These fungicides work in conjunction with a carefully selected range of surfactants to help loosen and lift biological growth, and then Mother Nature takes over. The weathering process gently removes the decomposing growth over time without damaging the surface it has infested.

What does Bone Dry do?

  • Slows the growth of moss and mould on treated surfaces
  • Helps prevent staining from food and beverage spills on decks and paved areas
  • Helps prevent oil stains such as on a driveway or in a garage
  • Waterproofs the inside of terracotta pots to prevent the potting mix drying out
  • Helps treated areas retain a dry look, even when wet
  • Helps stabilise joint sand between paving stones to prevent paving movement and erosion

Where can I use Bone Dry?

  • Brick and block walls
  • Sandstone
  • Concrete pots
  • Clay pots
  • Canvas awnings
  • Concrete paths
  • Driveways
  • Timber decks
  • Timber patio furniture
  • Tombstones
  • Retaining walls
  • Other porous surfaces

Why is Bone Dry good to use with Wet & Forget?

Bone Dry is a great compliment to Wet & Forget, as Wet & Forget can remove years of build-up on different exterior surfaces, and Bone Dry can help prevent further growth when applied after a deep clean. The bonus here is that upkeep on these sealed areas with Wet & Forget will be reduced – meaning less time between treatments, and a quicker result!

*** Important information about Bone Dry: ***

  • All surfaces must be cleaned prior to the application of Bone Dry to the area, otherwise exisitng growth and debris will be trapped underneath!
  • When removing biological growth before application, we highly reccomend the use of the Wet & Forget concentrate or Rapid Application.
  • The dilution rate and application instructions must be followed exactly as specified, as once Bone Dry is applied, it cannot be removed easily.
  • Bone Dry must be applied on a cool, dry day with even, light coverage. The entire surface must be treated at the same time to stop any overlapping of wet product on dry product, which would become visible with a double thickness in this area.
  • Bone Dry cannot be used on brand new timber decking. The timber must be allowed to weather for 12 months before applying Bone Dry.
